I'm from Vancouver so I'm a little picky about my sushi.

I've eaten at a few so far that have been total pants. Is there a good sushi restaurant in this city??

There's a restaurant called Sushi on Bloor located just east of Bathurst on the south side of Bloor St. It's always packed especially on the weekends. The sushis are huge and the price is very affordable. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Ok, I ate there last night.

The chef knew what he was doing. The presentation was fairly good and the rolls had some good flavours and some were quite unique.

The problem is the fish. It was warm and tasteless and clearly had been frozen. I guess this is what you guys get in Toronto because at every place I've been so far the fish has been terrible.

Overall this is the best place I've been to in Toronto so far and I don't expect to do any better at this point. Thanks!

Try the Sushi place right across the street, across from the sports bar.

I know we don't have the advantage of living on the ocean like Vancouver but unless you want to eat fish from Lake Ontario, this is what we got! Toronto also passed a bylaw a couple years ago making all the sushi restaurants freeze their fish for some sanitation reason they made up. Personally, I like Sushi Queen on queen st, 2 block west of university. They actually deliver to our building too.[/i]
